The flavor text on the card reads: "This Pokémon is a glutton, but it's bad at getting food. It teams up with a Tatsugiri to catch prey." Print variants and how to spot them
Scarlet & Violet base shipped in Holofoil, Reverse Holo, ex, Full Art, Special Illustration, and Hyper Rare. The Special Illustration Rare tier uses alternate artwork distinct from the standard ex card and is pulled at low rates. The set introduced the ex mechanic that replaced V and VSTAR.
Grading and condition
For graded buyers, modern Rares grade easily but the secondary market for graded modern non-holo Rares is thin. The math rarely justifies submission unless the card is a tournament staple or the Pokémon has independent collector traction.
