The 25th anniversary set. A small 25-card celebration release with a parallel Classic Collection subset that reprints iconic vintage cards. Celebrations product was one of the most heavily pulled-and-flipped releases of 2021 because of the Charizard Classic Collection.
Celebrations released October 8, 2021 as a 25-card celebration of the 25th anniversary of Pokémon. The set is small by design and was sold exclusively in special anniversary product (Elite Trainer Boxes, tins, and collection boxes) rather than standard booster packs.
Each card carries a 25th anniversary holographic stamp on the artwork. The Classic Collection subset, sold within the same product, reprinted 25 iconic cards from previous TCG history.
Celebrations shipped in Holofoil and Reverse Holo. Every card in the set is a holo of some kind. The set is intentionally small (25 cards) to keep the anniversary release coherent.
No 1st Edition convention. The Classic Collection cards (sold in the same product) use the original card frames from their source sets, with the anniversary stamp overlaid.
The Pikachu V-UNION (a 4-card combined card) is the most-collected modern Celebrations card. The Mew (#25) is a sentimental favorite. Sealed Celebrations product saw intense flipping demand at launch and remains actively traded.
